Canaria was a valuable broodmatron in Poland. She was exported to Sweden at the age of 20 in 1962.

Canaria was the dam of one of the greatest sires in Polish post-war breeding - Celebes (1949) and Karmin (1952), exported to GFR. Celebes was used in the Polish breeding program after a 14 year successful circus career. He sired 16 stallions, five of them used in the Polish studs; Melon (1969) - exported to the U.S.A.; Etap (1971); Algomej (1973) - National Champion of Sweden and Polish National Champion Stallion; Aloes (1973) - Polish National Champion Stallion, sold at the 1987 Polish Prestige Sale for the record price of $395,000; Pepi (1975) - Best in Show - Calbar International 1985, Denmark, when on lease to Blommeröd Stud in Sweden, chief stallion at Janow Podlaski Stud and in 1989 exported to the U.S.A.

Canaria was also the dam of some excellent broodmatrons including Gwara (1946) - dam of chief stallion Gwarny (1953); Bint Canaria (1948) and Czatanoga (1959) - dam of sires Chutor (1968), Czeremosz (1970) - US National Reserve Champion Stallion and Carawella (1971), sold in 1977 to the US for the record price of $153,000; Caliope (1953) and Cosmosa (1950) - sold to the U.S.A.
